Cost of Care
Cost of care is compensation designed to improve the mental and physical health of the injured person. A trial award may include reasonable expenses such as:
- rehabilitation support services
- housekeeping
- home maintenance and handyman services
- any equipment necessary to provide reasonable mobility and independence
- medications
- psychological services
- physiotherapy
- massage
- chiropractic services
- physical therapy
Additional expenses may also include:
- occupational therapy
- educational and vocational support services
- speech-language services
- child care support
- financial support services
