James Richards joined Slater Vecchio in 1999 and became a Partner in 2007. James practices in the area of Personal Injury, focusing on cases involving traumatic brain injury (TBI), significant orthopedic, spinal and psychological injuries, resulting from car, motorcycle and bicycle accidents as well as slips and falls and assaults on commercial and residential premises.

James has been counsel at trial on numerous cases with significant verdicts and has appeared at the Supreme Court of British Columbia and in the British Columbia Court of Appeal. James has authored a number of publications and has been a speaker at the request of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia (TLABC) on trial and practice-related topics.
