Michael J. Slater, Q.C., Partner

Background

Michael Slater QC is the founding partner of Slater Vecchio. The majority of his practice is confined to traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injury cases. He has authored many articles and is a frequent presenter at Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia (TLABC) seminars. He has chaired a number of TLABC seminars on traumatic brain injury.

Mike's clients have been awarded some of the highest trial awards in traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury cases. He has been selected by his peers to be included in the publication The Best Lawyers in Canada in the field of personal injury litigation. Mike has also been named Vancouver Personal Injury Litigation Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers.

• Completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary
• Completed his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of British Columbia
• Admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1976
• Appointed Queen's Counsel for the Province of British Columbia in 2002
