James A. Richards, Partner

Background

James Richards has been with Slater Vecchio since 1999 and became a partner in 2007. James practices in the area of Personal Injury, focusing on cases involving traumatic brain injury (TBI), significant orthopedic, spinal and psychological injuries, resulting from car, motorcycle and bicycle accidents as well as slips, falls and assaults in commercial and residential premises.

James has been counsel at trial on numerous cases with significant verdicts and has appeared at the Supreme Court of B.C. and in the B.C. Court of Appeal. James has authored a number of publications and has been a speaker at the request of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia (TLABC) on trial and practice related topics.

• Completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of British Columbia; majoring in History, with a minor in Political Science
• Completed a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of British Columbia
• Admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1997
