Slips & Falls - Person Injury

Owners of residential, commercial and public property must take care to protect people that use their property to ensure that it is safe and that injuries do not happen. If they do not take reasonable care, the law requires that they must pay for the harm they cause.

Unsafe property conditions can cause slips, trips or falls and lead to serious injury. Here are some examples of property conditions, which if not prevented entirely or maintained safely could cause injury:

Inside: improper maintenance, improper lighting, improper flooring or wet floors, defective stairways and railings.

Outside: ice, snow, slippery substances, hidden hazards, gaps or holes or deviations in the ground or walkways.
