environmental awareness

Slater Vecchio wants to ensure that we reduce our environmental footprint by incorporating environmentally-sustainable practices into our firm. Although we will never be 100% paperless, we use scanning software and a specialized data management system to reduce the amount of paper we produce. In addition, all of our incoming faxes go straight to desktop so they do not need to be printed out.

Recycling is the standard practice for paper, toner, batteries, bottles, plastics and cardboard. We use a purified filtered water system through our kitchen sink which has eliminated our use of water bottles completely.

The firm actively participates in the Cadillac Fairview's "Green at Work" program which encourages energy conservation, reducing waste management, protecting the environment, sustainable procurement and the communication of comprehensive green practices.

We participate in Translink's Employee Pass Program to encourage taking public transit. This program offers discounts on annual transit passes if 25 or more employee's participate in the program.

Environmental Awareness is an on-going commitment and we look forward to applying more "green initiatives" in the future.
